LUMBER PUNK - AXE THROWING INSTRUCTOR
JOB DESCRIPTION: You will be responsible for supervising and showing people how to throw axes! You will have to effectively deliver basic safety instructions and ensure people follow them. Their safety is in your hands! In addition to this you will also have to help with the set up/pack away of the stand at the event as well as working the sales counter and taking payments. During any quiet periods you need to interact with the public, hand out flyers and drum up business.
WHAT WE DO
Yes if you haven’t guessed, we do AXE THROWING! We are the only company in the UK that offers fully mobile, pop-up axe throwing entertainment. We are available for private hire (weddings and corporate events) as well as attending many of the largest and renowned festivals. We have 3 teams of (2-6 people depending on the size of the event) that attend various events across the country.

CHATTY & OUTGOING
You must be friendly, approachable and able to join in with a bit of banter with other staff and customers. No shy wallflowers…

HONEST & TRUSTWORTHY
We need responsible and trustworthy individuals. Part of the job will involve handling cash.

RELIABLE / PUNCTUAL
As part of the team you need to turn up to events, on time and ready to work. If you bail on an event last minute or you turn up to your shift late with a hangover - we will axe you from the team!

COMMON SENSE
You will be supervising and showing people how to THROW AXES! So you need your wits about you to ensure people adhere to safety instructions. Our number one priority is to keep people safe at all times. You need to be authoritative but friendly and able to appropriately handle members of the public. Especially those who have been drinking! You must be on the ball at all times!

WORK HARD - PLAY HARD...
Whilst you will get regular breaks, you will be on your feet for long periods, so you need to be reasonably fit. We often trade until late, so whilst you will get some free time to enjoy yourself, be prepared to put some hours in (this isn't a 9-5!) You will also be sleeping in a tent, caravan or temporary accommodation for the duration of the event/festival, so you can't be afraid to rough it for a few nights.

BIG BONUS - TOWING
If you have a trailer towing licence (B+E) OR; you have passed your driving test before 1st Jan 1997 and you are willing to tow an axe trailer or caravan.
